Post-Doctoral Research Position in the Programmable Polymers Laboratory

We are pleased to announce an opening for a post-doctoral research position in the Programmable Polymers Laboratory, led by Prof. UAM Dr. hab. inż. Róża Szweda at the Centre for Advanced Technologies, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.


Project Overview:

Since ancient times, humans have sought ways to store and transmit information across generations. Today, the volume of generated data is nearly twice the capacity of conventional storage media, such as hard drives and flash memory, and this demand continues to grow exponentially.

The PolyDigit project aims to address this challenge by developing sequence-programmable polymeric materials designed for long-term data storage. By harnessing the potential of synthetic polymers with precisely controlled monomer sequences, this research explores a new generation of storage media that could revolutionize data archiving.

The project is funded by the National Science Center (NCN) under the Sonata Bis program (grant no. UMO-2021/42/E/ST4/00010).

  1. Research discipline (research field): Chemistry
  2. Number of work hours per week including a task-based work schedule (if applicable): 

full-time, 40/40 hours per week in a task-based work time system etc.


  2. Type of an employment contract and expected duration of employment: Fixed-term contract from 01.04.2025 to 31.03.2026 (12 months) with the possibility of prolongation.


Anticipated job starting date: 01.04.2025


  2. Workplace location: Center for Advanced Technologies AMU, Uniwersytetu Poznańskiego 10, 61-614 Poznań, Poland

  4. Monthly salary: 7700 PLN (gross amount, which includes social security contributions, the tax, and the net amount; it is the amount specified in the contract)
