UNINOVA – Instituto de Desenvolvimento de Novas Tecnologias, by decision of the Executive Committee, opens an international call to hire a Doctoral Researcher, in the form of an Unfixed-Term Contract, under the following Research Project and under the scientific coordination of Prof. Doutor José António Barata de Oliveira.

Admission Requirements/Profile of Candidate:

Applicants may be any Portuguese national, foreign and stateless candidates that hold the following requirements:

Required degree:

• PhD in Information Technology Management with a tendency to Business Intelligence or PhD in Information Science and Technology

Required Knowledge:

• Technology Impact and Acceptance assessment
• Entrepreneurship methods and business scaling-up 
• Change management
• User Experience Assessment
• Affective and creative computing
• Soft System Methodologies and Design methodologies
• Cyber-physical and collaborative Systems in the context of Machinery
• Industrial informatics applications
• Open innovation platforms
• E-commerce and E-Learning
• Technical and Soft skills training and couching
• Developing public and policymakers Awareness
• Tech-Art based scientific dissemination 

Requirements and skills:

• Senior researcher with experience in participating in national and international project and proposal writing in Multi-disciplinary and transdisciplinary fields and projects such as Industry, agro-industry, energy, Smart agriculture, Nexus, cultural and creative field.
• Experience in the organisation, elaboration, and submission of RIA/IA research projects from the European Commission H2020 and HORIZON EUROPE program.
• Experience in the execution of MARIE CURIE projects.
• Experience in organizing events such as conferences, match making, exhibitions, and brainstorming 
• Experience in leading European commission proposal writing and project management
• Experience in contacting and interacting with industry, agri-food sector, health sector, and public sector
• At least 5 years of experience in teaching in field of Information and communication technologies.
• More than 7 years after PhD.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Portuguese reality in SMART Agriculture.
• Experience and Knowledge in the TEC4GREEN project
• Experience in teaching and content making in E-learning 
• Fluent in English (written, spoken, listen)
• Minimum Level A2 of Portuguese Language knowledge 
• Driving skills with a driving licence from Portugal

Applicable Legislation:

• Portuguese Labor Code, approved by Law nº 7/2009, from 12th February in its current version.
• Administrative Procedure Code, as published in Decree-Law nº 4/2015, from 7th January in its current version (CPA).

Work Plan Activities:

• Leading and coordinating technical activities of the TEC4GREEN project.
• Leading the dissemination activities related to the TEC4GREEN project.
• Leading and participating in activities related to study the TEC4GREEN project outcomes Social impact assessment, public relations, public acceptance, and public education.
• Leading and participating in activities to develop strategies for public acceptance of smart agriculture.
• Participating in organizing the scientific and industrial events, workshops and symposium to disseminate the knowledge developed by TEC4GREEN project, disseminate and explore its developed solution, and scale up the result of project.
• Participating in publishing open access scientific articles in journals and conferences 
• Participating in training activities to disseminate the TEC4GREEN knowledge.
• Participating in the developing roadmap for exploitation and scaling-up the TEC4GREEN project outcomes.
• Participating in the TEC4GREEN activities related to technology transfer, business plan development, and using knowledge to form spin off companies.
• Participating in the TEC4GREEN Project meetings.
• Support and leading in the Project Management Activities
• Leadership and coordination of proposal writing and submission to the HORIZON EUROPE program from the European Commission.

Start Date and Workplace:

The full-time employment contract is expected to start in April 2025 and will last only for the necessary execution period of the work plan previously described, which is estimated to have a predicted duration of 9 (nine) months, until 31-12-2025, with a maximum duration of 4 (four) years.

The work will be developed at UNINOVA, at other facilities located at FCT / NOVA Campus and/or other necessary locations to its execution.
