Are you ready to take your research career to the next level? We offer an exciting 3-year postdoctoral position that gives you the opportunity to develop a strong profile as researcher.
The position is in the laboratory led by Dr Nathalie Jurisch-Yaksi, which consists of an international team of biologists and neuroscientists. The main scientific goal of our laboratory is to understand principles underlying brain development and function in health and disease, with a strong emphasis on the role of glia and cerebrospinal fluid dynamics. About the project
The main goal of the postdoctoral project is to unravel the function of the choroid plexus in brain development and physiology. More specifically, you will characterize which proteins are secreted by the choroid plexus in the cerebrospinal fluid, and how these proteins are transported in the brain to modulate neuronal activity and animal behavior. You will use a wide range of techniques from molecular biology, genetics, omics, histology, microscopy, animal behavior as well as computational and fluid dynamics approaches. The work will be carried out using zebrafish as model animal. The project is supported by a Research Council of Norway FRIPRO grant.
Please read our recent publications to have a broad overview of techniques and approaches used in our laboratory.
