A candidate for this position should meet the requirements of art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571 with amendments) 

Requirements

• - PhD degree in Exact and Natural Sciences in the discipline of chemistry obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project,
• - documented scientific achievements in the field of organic chemistry (scientific articles) indicating the possibility of scientific development
• - documented participation in international conferences
• - extensive statement in organic synthesis and in at least one of the following fields: EPR - spectroscopy, organic magnetism, quantum mechanical calculations,
• - ability to independently perform experiments and conduct a full analysis of the results,
• - skills and experience in conducting physical-organic research with particular emphasis on spectroscopic techniques (NMR, UV-vis), electrochemistry, DSC,
• - fluent knowledge of English in speech and writing, preparation of publication texts and giving conference lectures,
• - ability to work in a team, enthusiasm and high motivation to deepen knowledge,
• - foreign internship will be an additional asset.

Job responsibilities

• - publishing results in reputable international journals

The person employed will participate in the preparation and study of molecular materials containing a stable radical. The research includes synthesis, basic characterization of soft materials using various analytical techniques in the search for new materials for molecular electronics and spintronics. In this context, a motivated candidate familiar with laboratory work methods and instrumental analysis, interested in organic synthesis, physicochemical studies, magnetic phenomena and organic semiconductors is sought. The Assistant Professor is expected to lead a small team consisting of a PhD student and/or a diploma student, which provides excellent opportunities for developing managerial skills.

The candidate must meet the condition of no criminal record for the crimes specified in Chapter XIX and XXV of the Penal Code, in Article 189a and Article 207 of the Penal Code and in the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939) and for the prohibited acts specified in foreign law corresponding to these crimes.
