We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Advanced Muon Spectroscopy (AMS) project at the Laboratory for Muon Spin Spectroscopy (LMU). The project is dedicated to developing a novel method for muon spin spectroscopy using monolithic Si-pixel detectors. This innovative approach aims to increase data collection rates (40k ⇒ >400k muons/second), enable measurements on smaller samples (16mm2 ⇒ 1mm2), and achieve lateral resolution on the millimeter scale.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge instrumentation and methodology for muon spectroscopy, while working in a collaborative, international research environment.

• Design, simulate, and build a Si-pixel-based muon spin spectrometer
• Develop and optimize software for vertex reconstruction and data analysis
• Participate in and lead muon spin spectroscopy (μSR) experiments
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on integration, validation, and deployment
