Job Duties:

• Building an independent research profile
• Completion of ongoing research and development of new projects
• Collaboration in teaching in German and English
• Supervision of students in the lab (master-/PhD students)
• Publication of scientific results in international journals and at high-level conferences
• Administrative tasks according to university self-administration
• Collaboration with the Clinical Research Institute for Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases and participation in the conduct of clinical trials

Your Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must hold a completed doctoral/PhD degree in biology or a related field / Biologist with a doctorate or relevant doctoral degree
• Experience in bioinformatics
• Experience in cardiovascular research
• Broad range of methods in molecular biology desirable
• Teaching skills and experience at bachelor's and master's level
• Experience in research and publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals
• A high degree of independence in research and in accordance with the research focus of the Department of Pathophysiology
• Very good German and English skills (German level C1, English level B2+)
