announces a

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

for the selection of one associate to the associate position of Senior Assistant in the scientific field of Natural Sciences, scientific field of Chemistry, for a fixed-term employment.

Applicants must meet the requirements prescribed by the Law on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/2022).

Applicants must submit, along with their signed application:

• a curriculum vitae (CV),
• a copy of the diploma of the completed study program,
• a decision/opinion on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification (for applicants who obtained their qualification abroad),
• a certified transcript of records with a calculated grade point average,
• proof of citizenship, and
• foreign citizens must also submit proof of proficiency in the Croatian language at the C2 (advanced) level.

Applicants who wish to exercise the right of priority in employment under special regulations must state this right in their application. They will have priority over other candidates only under the same conditions established by this call, based on a complete and timely application.

Applicants claiming the right of priority under Articles 102 and 103 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette 121/17, 98/19, 84/21, 156/23) must submit, in addition to proof of meeting the required conditions, all documents listed in Article 103, paragraph 1 of that Act, available at the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans: https://branitelji.gov.hr/zaposljavanje-843/843.

By submitting their application, candidates expressly agree that the Faculty of Science, as the data controller, may collect, use, and further process personal data for the purpose of conducting the selection procedure, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act.

For applicants who meet the formal requirements of the call, a knowledge and skills assessment relevant to the duties of the position may be carried out through testing and/or an interview.

All information about the testing will be published on the official website of the Faculty of Science, University of Split (https://www.pmfst.unist.hr/), at least five days before it takes place.

If an applicant fails to attend the assessment, it will be considered that they have withdrawn their application. Information about the place and time of the assessment will be sent to applicants by email to the address provided in their application.

Both male and female candidates are equally eligible to apply.

Applications must be submitted electronically within 30 days from the publication of the call in the Official Gazette (Narodne novine), to the email address: natjecaj-posao@pmfst.hr.

A complete application is one that includes all required documents and is personally signed. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered, and applicants will not be invited to supplement their submissions.

All applicants will be notified of the results of the competition within the statutory deadline.
