of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences

announces an open competition for the position of Assistant Professor (F/M/X)
in the group of teaching staff
at the Department and Clinic of Surgery.

Job Description:

• • preparation and delivery of teaching classes in the field of surgical diseases of horses, conducted in Polish and English;
• • obtaining external funding for the implementation of educational projects;
• • participation in scientific conferences and symposia, both national and international;
• • participation in workshops and training courses aimed at improving professional competences;
• • participation in organizational activities for the benefit of the unit and the University;
• • performing other duties assigned by the Head of the unit, resulting from the profile and character of the unit and the University.

Requirements for Candidates:

• • holding at least a PhD degree in Veterinary Medicine or in Agricultural Sciences;
• • having teaching or professional experience involving work with students;
• • holding a specialization in equine diseases and documented professional experience working with horses;
• • proficiency in Polish, both spoken and written;
• • proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level;
• • meeting the criteria set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, i.e. the candidate:
  • - enjoys full public rights;
  • - has full legal capacity;
  • - has not been convicted by a final court judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime;
  • - has not been subject to a disciplinary penalty of dismissal from employment at a higher education institution with a ban on employment at universities for a period from 6 months to 5 years, nor deprived of the right to practice as an academic teacher for a period of 10 years.

• • remuneration consisting of:
  • - a basic salary
  • - a length-of-service allowance (3–20%),
  • - an additional annual salary (so-called “13th salary”),
  • - holiday subsidy and other variable components resulting from the Remuneration Regulations of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences;
• • an attractive scientific working environment;
• • work in a team with excellent experimental facilities, conducting interesting and modern research topics, enabling the development and enhancement of professional competences and international cooperation.

  Candidates who do not possess a certificate but meet the requirement of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level shall submit a declaration of language proficiency; verification will take place during the interview stage.
