The employment contract will be concluded on a full-time basis (40 hours per week / 100%) for a fixed term of 12 months, with a three-month probationary period. The anticipated start date is February 1, 2026, or as otherwise agreed.


General job description and tasks:

  • • participating in the implementation of domestic and international research projects, programs, and tasks,
  • • preparing statistical, chronological, and bibliographic reviews and aids for personal and wider use,
  • • writing contributions for publication in the field of research and professional work, and preparing reports on publications and conferences for publication,
  • • participating in scientific-research and professional conferences and meetings,
  • • participating in the work of professional bodies and in joint projects and tasks,

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Requirements for the position:
  • - specialization following higher education (former system), a university degree (former system), or a Master’s degree in the field of Genetics,
  • - active knowledge of a major world language.
  • • Required additional functional skills:
  • - computer skills,
  • - organizational skills,
  • - ability to work in a team,
  • - independence,
  • - reliability.
  • • Other desirable skills:
  • - appointment to a suitable pedagogical or scientific title, or meeting the requirements for appointment to such a title at the University of Primorska.
