Objectives
To develop a scalable hybrid modelling framework integrating environmentally extended multi-regional input–output
analysis, life-cycle assessment, and urban sectoral modelling to evaluate municipal climate mitigation strategies under a
full Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions perspective.
Work Plan
The research will develop an integrated modelling framework linking municipal climate mitigation strategies with global
supply-chain emissions through the combination of EE-MRIO models, life-cycle assessment, and urban sectoral
modelling. Using building energy simulations, mobility modelling, and machine learning techniques, the framework will
assess direct and indirect emissions of mitigation measures at municipal scale, supporting uncertainty analysis and the
development of policy-relevant indicators for evidence-based climate governance and investment planning.
