- work environment: The researcher will have access to all facilities, including annual budget and personal computer provided by the MARBEC laboratory. He/she will benefit from the field facilities in eDNA filtering like autonomous underwater vehicules and surface pumps. His/her functioning will be supported by the Chaire Industrielle ADNeIA (participation to congress etc..).

- main mission: He/she will develop a new generation of models in machine learning and AI dedicated to eDNA surveys, from strategic design to data analyses, to assess environmental impacts in offshore wind farms and marine parks for instance. He/she will contribute to the access to new markets through the writing of proposals and interactions with new partners to develop the field of marine eDNA.

- activities: (1) Work on the modelling of eDNA-based biodiversity indicators in relation with critical habitats like wind farms, (2) Manage the sampling design and realizations of new campaigns, (3) Insure the continuous workflow in terms of data quality and storage, (4) Perform statistical analyses to assess environmental impacts based on eDNA surveys, and (5) Write reports, publications and proposals.

The gross monthly salary is €2,300

The contract duration is 22 months

PhD in marine ecology with skills in data analyses but also field sampling.
