Rector of the Krakow University of Economics

for the position of an assistant (F/M)

in the research and teaching employment group 

on full-time

in the discipline of law

at the Department of Real Estate, Tax Law and Theory of Law

of the Institute of Law

of the College of Law

Planned full-time employment from 1 October 2026 for a period of two years with the possibility of extending the contract.

Requirements for candidates:

Candidates who meet the requirements specified in Articles 113 and 116 of the Act on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and § 50(8) of the KUE Statutes, i.e. meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. 1. hold at least a master's degree, master's degree in engineering or equivalent, and
2. 2. have a predisposition for conducting research and are prepared for teaching work.

Additional mandatory requirements include: 

1. 1. a completed master’s degree in law, 
2. 2. knowledge of issues related to tax law, 
3. 3. very good command of spoken and written English, including Legal English; for foreign nationals, also a good command of spoken and written Polish, i.e., at a level sufficient to conduct classes,
4. 4. certification as a tax advisor (having passed the state tax advisor examination) or practical experience in performing activities in the field of tax law practice,
5. 5. in the event of employment, submission of an employee's statement on conducting scientific activity in the discipline of law,
6. 6. in the event of employment, submission of an employee's statement on consent to be included among employees conducting scientific activity (the so-called N number) at the KUE,
7. 7. compliance with the requirements of Article 21 of the Act of 13 May 2016 on counteracting threats of sexual crime and protecting minors (consolidated text Journal of Laws of 2026, item 110, as amended).

The following will be regarded as additional strengths/advantages:

1. 1. passing the master’s degree examination in law with a grade of “very good,”
2. 2. completion of postgraduate or master’s studies in tax consulting,
3. 3. completion of studies or research programs abroad in a foreign language, particularly in English,
4. 4. experience in teaching (including workshops or seminars) in Polish and/or English,
5. 5. publications, including works in the field of tax law,
6. 6. participation in international internships and international grants, 
7. 7. activity in academic clubs, as well as other organizational achievements, 
8. 8. participation in conferences, seminars, or other events promoting science and legal knowledge,
9. 9. practical experience in performing activities related to the application of law, particularly tax law
10. 10. pursuit of academic development through enrollment in a part-time doctoral program or participation in a doctoral school.
