University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture Svetošimunska cesta 25, Zagreb, announces

JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

for the selection of:

1. for a scientific-teaching position – Assistant Professor, in the scientific area: Biotechnical Sciences, scientific field: Agriculture, for an indefinite period, full-time employment, at the Department of Sustainable Technologies and Renewable Energy Sources, Division of Agricultural Engineering – 1 employee;

Candidates must meet the general employment requirements and the conditions stipulated by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/22) and the Statute of the University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture.

Along with a signed application, candidates are required to submit:

• • CV,
• • proof of appropriate level of education (copy of diploma),
• • proof of citizenship (copy of ID card, passport, or citizenship certificate),
• • signed statement giving explicit consent for the announcement of the selection results on the Faculty’s website.

Candidates under item 1 must also submit evidence of meeting general and specific requirements in accordance with the Decision on Mandatory Conditions for Evaluation of Teaching and Scientific-Professional Activity in the Procedure for Appointment to Scientific-Teaching Titles (Official Gazette 122/17, 120/21).

A selected candidate with a foreign degree must, prior to signing the employment contract, submit a decision/opinion of the Agency for Science and Higher Education on the recognition of foreign educational qualifications.

In accordance with the Gender Equality Act (Official Gazette 82/08, 125/11, 20/12, 138/12, 69/17), persons of both sexes may apply under equal conditions.

Only applications submitted on time and complete applications that meet the formal requirements of the announcement will be considered valid. A complete application includes all personal data, a signed application, and all attachments listed in the announcement.

The application must include: the full title of the position being applied for (including item number), personal data of the candidate: name and surname, date of birth, address, phone number, and preferably email address.

Candidates who invoke the right of priority in employment under:

– Article 102 of the Croatian Homeland War Veterans and Their Family Members Act,

– Article 48.f of the Civilian and Military War Invalids Act,

– Article 48 of the Civilian Victims from the Homeland War Act,

– Article 9 of the Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities Act,

Candidates invoking priority rights must also submit all required evidence available at the link provided by the Faculty (list of required documents for exercising employment priority rights under the Homeland War Veterans Act).

Candidates invoking rights under the Civilian and Military War Invalids Act must submit relevant decisions or certificates and proof of termination of previous employment. Candidates invoking rights under disability employment legislation must submit proof of disability. Members of national minorities are not required to prove their status when invoking rights under the Constitutional Act on the Rights of National Minorities.

The Faculty processes candidate data in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and uses it solely for the recruitment process.

A probation period applies in accordance with the Collective Agreement for Public Services Employees.

Candidates who meet the requirements may be invited to an interview and/or testing via the email address provided in the application. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
