ANNOUNCES VACANCY

For the appointment to:

The title and position of assistant professor in Humanities, field of Archaeology, at the Classical Archaeology Section of the Department of Archaeology, for a full-time, open-ended position – 1 employee (m/f).

The applicants need to enclose:

• a signed CV (maximum 1 page long)
• a certificate from the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) containing information on the applicant from their database, i.e., electronic employment record
• a copy of a certificate proving educational qualifications or the obtained academic title
• a copy of a certificate proving any previous selection to an academic title
• bibliography and offprints of articles pertinent to the appointment, and a detailed presentation of scientific, teaching, and professional activities
• a certificate stating that the applicant’s diploma acquired abroad has been approved by the Croatian authorities
• proof of citizenship; foreign citizens need to enclose a certificate of proficiency in the Croatian language (advanced level)

The CV, bibliography, and information on scientific, teaching, and professional activities must be submitted electronically (on a USB flash drive).

Conditions:

Applicants (m/f) are expected to meet the requirements prescribed by the Science and Higher Education Act (as published in the Official Gazette, no. 119/22).

Advantages:

1. A completed master's degree in Archaeology.
2. A completed master's degree in Classical Languages (Greek Language and Literature and/or Latin Language and Literature)
3. Experience working on competitive research projects.
4. Experience teaching courses in Antique Archaeology.
5. An active record of scholarly research (published papers, conference presentations).
