The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Bo research Group. The position will be funded by Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades through project COMPLEXSIM (ref. PID2023-153344NB-I00).

ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in the group of Prof. Carles Bo.

Responsibilities:

• - The candidates will develop and apply advanced databases and computational workflows to simulate complex reactive mixtures of hybrid organic/inorganic systems and catalytic processes, write scientific reports, and present results at international conferences.

Requirements

• - PhD in Chemistry with specialty in Computational or Theoretical chemistry at the time of joining the contract.
• - Demonstrated experience as scientific software developer under the open-source paradigms.
• - He/she should be a motivated, open-minded, highly dynamic and a team player.
• - Proven good knowledge of English (written and oral).

• - Strong commitment for scientific research in a competitive environment.
• - Good communication skills. 
• - A temporary 3-year full-time employment contract linked to the project Computational Simulation of Complex Reactive Mixtures COMPLEXSIM (ref. PID2023-153344NB-I00).
• - Remuneration according to the Institute salary scales.
• - Annual salary split into twelve monthly payments.
• - Incorporation: January/February 2025

Selection Process 

ICIQ’s selection process usually entails the following phases: 

• - Pre-selection: The pre-selection process will be based on qualifications and expertise as reflected on the candidates’ CVs. This phase is merit-based.

• - Interview: Preselected candidates will be interviewed by the Hiring Manager of the position and the appointed Selection Committee.
