“Dual Catalytic System Based on Combination of MHAT and SH2 Mechanisms: A Novel Platform for Formal Cross-Coupling of Transient Radicals”

The main tasks will involve:

investigation of new catalytic radical reactions including photo- or electrochemistry
mechanistic investigations
scope and limitation studies
data analysis using state-of-the-art techniques (e.g. NMR, GCMS, CV)
supervising students
preparation of reports and publication manuscripts

Maximum 7 years after completion of PhD – requirement of financing institution!

required competences

PhD in organic chemistry
previous experience with synthetic chemistry laboratory techniques
previous experience in organic synthesis and/or catalysis
ability to analyse and interpret experimental data using state-of-the art techniques (NMR, MS, GC, HPLC)
analytical thinking and scientific problem solving skills
communicate well in English in writing and in oral presentation, be able to write reports in English
high self-motivation and strong work ethic
ability to plan and perform work independently and as a part of a team

desirable competences

excellent organic chemistry knowledge
previous experience photocatalysis
creativity

Benefits

Terms of employment: full-time employment for 18 months, with salary funded by the NCN grant, 11666,66 PLN/ month (including employer costs, ~9800 PLN gross)
