Job position

Postdoctoral position focused on the development of innovative radiotherapy techniques using a multidisciplinary approach. Study of spatially fractionated radiotherapy (SFRT) and FLASH-RT through synchrotron-based infrared microspectroscopy. The biological basis of healthy tissue preservation and tumour response after spatially fractionated radiotherapy (SFRT) or FLASH RT is not well understood yet. Within this framework, the main goal of this postdoctoral research is to use synchrotron-based infraredmicrospectroscopy to get deeper insights into the underlying biology of these innovative approaches.

The postdoctoral researcher will participate in the radiotherapy experiments (medical physics, radiobiological studies), as well as in the synchrotron-based infrared microspectroscopy studies. Machine learning techniques will be employed to perform data analysis.

Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

PhD in medical physics, applied physics, biomedical engineering, data science, radiobiology or related 

Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: radiotherapy, medical physics, radiobiology, infrared microspectroscopy

Good knowledge of English is required

Prior experience in one or more of the following fields: radiotherapy, medical physics, radiobiology or infrared microspectroscopy 30

• Interview – 30

Minimum score required to pass the selection process: 70
