Project/Grant title: RED LIGHT – A TOOL FOR ORGANIC AND BIOORTHOGONAL CHEMISTRY


Job description

Developing red light-induced bioorthogonal reactions, determining reactions’ mechanism based on physicochemical experiments, testing developed reactions on model, short peptides and oligonucleotides, supervising Ph.D. students on a daily bases, preparation of manuscripts.


Required competencies

  • Excellent knowledge of organic and organometallic chemistry;
  • Experience in cobalt complex chemistry;
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques, such as NMR, HPLC, GC;
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) sufficient for independent scientific work;
  • Scientific achievements documented by publications in recognized journals;
  • Commitment to research activities.

Desired competencies

  • Previous experience in photochemistry or theoretical chemistry (DFT calculations) is highly desirable;
  • Independence in scientific work;
  • Decision-making skills;
  • Teamwork ability;
  • Responsibility and accountability;
  • Capacity to share knowledge and mentor students effectively.
