Recruitment to Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry. Head of the Laboratory: Dr. Dorota Jakubczyk, 
position available for period of one year with possibility of extension to permanent position.

We are a specialised Laboratory of Medicinal Chemistry within the Centre for Chemical Biology ERIC at IBCH PAS in Poznań, Poland. We provide expertise and services in the field of medicinal chemistry, including chemoinformatics, the chemical synthesis of bioactive molecules as well as biosynthesis, biocatalysis, semi-synthesis for compounds difficult to synthesise using classical synthetic chemistry, library design and "Hit to Lead" approach for molecule optimization. We want to expand our activities to include data analysis, supported by machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies. Through the Centre for Chemical Biology ERIC we are also an official partner site of the EU-OPENSCREEN-ERIC consortium, which collaborates with users worldwide to identify biologically active molecules and understand their mechanisms of action. I. Requirements for the candidate:
 1. PhD in chemistry, informatics or related sciences.

1. Experience and knowledge of chemoinformatics in the context of a medicinal chemistry approach to drug discovery but bioinformatics expertise will be also considered.
2. Experience in data analysis, using machine learning tools (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) is required.
3. Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
4. Good command of English, both written and spoken.
5. Good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team.
