We offer a junior postdoctoral position in newly formed CENTERA research unit (Center for Terahertz Research and Applications ) of the CEZAMAT Center of Advanced Materials and Technologies, Warsaw University of Technology.

The successful applicant will join Work Group 2 of the CENTERA Unit, led by Prof. Marek Potemski. This workgroup is dedicated to investigating the fundamental properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials and their devices, with the goal of enabling novel applications in terahertz (THz) technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting scientific research within the framework of the CENTERA2 project, with particular focus on the optical properties of 2D materials and their device structures
Maintaining and ensuring the proper operation of the experimental infrastructure at the CENTERA2 laboratory, which is dedicated to optical spectroscopy techniques in the visible spectral range (e.g., Raman scattering, photoluminescence) under cryogenic conditions and applied magnetic fields
Collaborating effectively with all members of the CENTERA2 lab, as well as with researchers from the Warsaw University of Technology and other national and international partners
Disseminating research results through peer-reviewed publications and presentations at workshops and international conferences
Mentoring junior group members, including Master's and PhD students
Contributing to the development of future research directions by preparing proposals for new research grants
