We are currently seeking applicants for a 3-year Postdoctoral Fellow position (100%) in cardiac research. The successful candidate will examine sex differences and aging, with a focus on the female heart, fibrosis, hypertrophy, inflammation, estrogen receptor signaling and regulation, in cardiac tissue and cells from humans and animals. This position will be based at the Institute for Experimental Medical Research (IEMR) located at Oslo University Hospital and the University of Oslo.

The Institute for Experimental Medical Research (IEMR) is an innovative and dynamic medical research environment that conducts research focused on understanding the molecular basis of cardiac disease and heart failure development. With approximately 60 employees and six research groups, our expertise spans molecular biology, physiology and cardiology. The project will be supervised by Senior Researcher Cathrine Rein Carlson, whose research team is involved in national and international collaborations and has access to cutting-edge research environments. The objective of the fellowship is to prepare researchers to assume higher academic roles within their respective fields. The funding for this position will be provided through a grant from the Research Council of Norway.
