Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer cells. Understanding the downstream molecular consequences of these metabolic changes, among which their connections with RNA modifications (epitranscriptomics), offers potential new therapeutic opportunities.


Our lab has identified previously unknown links between pyruvate metabolism and tRNAs modifications that regulate translation fidelity (Di Michele et al., Nat Comms 2025). Our objective is to understand how perturbations of pyruvate metabolism impinge on translation in the context of several human diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.


The post-doc will be in charge of analyzing RNA modifications by mass spectrometry and NGS, their consequences on translation using several methodologies (polysome profiling, proteomics, immunoblotting) and of phenotypic characterization of animal models
