Candidate Requirements:

Applicants must hold a degree in Biomedicine, Biology, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Additional training (preferably a Master’s and/or PhD) in Bioinformatics is desirable. We are looking for a committed candidate with full-time availability to dedicate to research activities.

Desired Skills:

Ability to work independently;

Proficiency in R and/or Python;

Previous experience in transcriptome data analysis from RNA sequencing (RNA-seq);

Strong ability to interpret results and formulate hypotheses based on computational data.

About the Project:

The project aims to investigate the immunological mechanisms involved in asthma exacerbation in menopausal women, with the goal of understanding the factors that worsen the disease in this group and identifying potential therapeutic targets.

FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship: R$ 12,000.00 per month, plus a Technical Reserve corresponding to 15% of the annual fellowship amount.

Selection Process and Initial Training:

The selected candidate will undergo an initial voluntary training period (without scholarship) lasting at least 1 month, in order to become familiar with laboratory routines and demonstrate interest, responsibility, and suitability for the proposed activities before the formal start of the scholarship. During this stage, the candidate’s integration with the research team will also be evaluated. The official start of activities is scheduled for mid-October 2025.

Research Location:
