SICAP2026 is a research project aiming to develop new materials for high-density, high-voltage integrated capacitors, both concerning the dielectric as well as the electrode materials. The main task is to explore the electrical properties of new oxide materials, integrate them in test pattern structures and evaluate their performance in optimized MIM (Metal-Insulator-Metal) stacks, in order to identify their potential for industrial application. This project, financed in the framework of the France2030 program, is a joint project between three local research laboratories (CRISMAT, GREYC and CIMAP) and two industrial partners (Murata IPS, Elvia PCB), and is associated to the joint research lab IPDN.

In this project, a Post-Doc position of 10 to 12 months is available. The main task concerns the electrical characterization of test pattern capacitors built from the MIM thin films stack. Electrical transport properties will be investigated using I-V and C-V measurements. Advanced electrical measurements, such as deep level transient spectroscopy (DLTS) or low-frequency noise spectroscopy, will also be considered. Capacitor manufacturing will be carried out in the lab cleanroom in order to optimize capacitor design. The candidate will participate in the project monitoring, the communication of the results, and the relation with the other partners. Therefore, the candidate should have a strong background in the electrical characterization of capacitor structures, point defect identification, semiconductor device physics as well as an independent and efficient working attitude.
