The postdoctoral researcher recruited for 12 months will work on the MEDITER project (Measuring the Effectiveness of Law: Impacts and Temporalities of Renewable Energy), funded by ITTECOP (Transport Infrastructure, Territories, Ecosystems, and Landscapes). He/she will be supervised by Julien BETAILLE, lawyer (University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour), Jessica MAKOWIAK (leader of the project) and Anouch MISSIRIAN, economist (Toulouse School of Economics).

The objective of the MEDITER project is to test, analyze, and attempt to measure the effectiveness, from a temporal perspective, of environmental assessment law, based on the case of renewable energy (RE) production and transport infrastructure.

Main tasks.
Conduct a study presenting quantitative methods (observational studies, laboratory experiments, computational methods, etc.) that can be used to assess the effectiveness of environmental assessment law in the field of renewable energy (RE).

Secondarily, conduct one or more empirical studies using one or more of the above methods to measure the effectiveness of environmental assessment law in relation to RE.

Constraints and specificities of the position.
The postdoctoral researcher must be able to work at the intersection of several disciplines (economics, law, etc.).

The position is based in Toulouse, within the “environmental economics” thematic group at the Toulouse School of Economics, and requires on-site presence in order to interact effectively with project supervisors.

The postdoctoral researcher must have obtained their doctorate less than three years prior to the start date of the contract (LPR postdoctoral status).

The postdoctoral researcher will be given specific time to promote their previous research and apply for other positions.
