Position available within the research project entitled: “Scented Pathways: Unveiling the Relationship of Microbiomes with Olfactory Abilities and Psychological Well-Being”, project number PNRR-III-C9-2023-I8-CF 32/28.07.2023.


We are looking for one post-doctoral researcher to be hired in a project aimed at investigating the influence of olfactory skills and microbiome on psychological problems in diverse populations. The job is part-time and it implies working closely with the PI of the project and the implementation team.

Skills/Qualifications

  • • PhD diploma in the field of psychology.
  • • Research experience in the field of psychology and cognitive/behavioral psychotherapy,
  • • Experience in research activity of no more than 8 years, full-time equivalent, since the date of the first doctoral degree,
  • • Experience in developing, testing and using technology-based psychological tools,
  • • At least one review/meta-analysis publication published in an ISI indexed journal,
  • • At least four publications related to the field of technology-based applications in mental health published in a peer-reviewed journal,
  • • Experience in developing, pre-processing, analyzing and interpreting data used in research projects,
  • • Experience in writing and reviewing scientific articles for international journals,
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian.

Selection Process

Phase 1: evaluation of candidates' applications (elimination);
Phase 2: interview;
Minimum grade for each phase: 8
Final grade: the average of grades in phase 1 and phase 2
Hierarchy of candidates: according to the average of phase 1 and phase 2
