About the Group

We are seeking a highly motivated Researcher in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) to join our research and innovation team. The candidate will contribute to designing, developing, and implementing advanced AI/ML solutions to support ongoing scientific, healthcare, and technological projects across the institute. This role involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to transform data into actionable insights, novel tools, and impactful research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• • Develop, implement, and optimise AI/ML models (artificial intelligence/classical machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, etc.)
• • Work with structured and unstructured datasets; perform data preprocessing, analysis, and validation
• • Collaborate with clinicians, scientists, engineers, and project teams to integrate AI into research workflows
• • Lead or contribute to scientific publications, grant proposals, and conference outputs
• • Develop reproducible pipelines, documentation, and maintain code repositories
• • Support AI capacity-building activities (training sessions, internal consultations)
• • Ensure ethical, secure, and trustworthy AI practices in compliance with institutional and EU regulations
