University of Bucharest is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher in Philosophy (Phenomenology of Emotions) on a PNRR programme, for The Life of the Heart: Phenomenology of Body and Emotions Project.


The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct individual research in phenomenology of emotions within the framework of the project, participate in project meetings and scientific events, and prepare at least one research article for submission to an indexed academic journal.

Skills/Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • • hold a PhD in Philosophy, with a doctoral thesis in phenomenology;
  • • have no more than 8 years of full-time equivalent research experience since the award of the PhD (reference date: 14 November 2022);
  • • have relevant international publications in phenomenology;
  • • demonstrate participation in international conferences.

Research topic: Phenomenology of emotions, from Brentano, Husserl, and Heidegger to Sartre, Levinas, and Waldenfels.
