Institute of Mathematics PAS announces a competition for a postdoctoral position (1) within the NCN Sonata project ‘Variational problems from image processing and crystal models’ led by PI Dr. Michał Łasica.


The position offers funding opportunities for participation in conferences and/or research trips.


Tasks description:
- The theme of the project is mathematical analysis (well-posedness, regularity, etc.) of variational problems arising in image restoration and computer vision, as well as models of crystal grain boundaries. We will also perform numerical experiments.


- The selection of the candidates will be carried out by a committee chaired by the PI within 30 days of the closing date. Candidates may be invited to an interview. If there are no suitable candidates, the competition may remain undecided.
