SUBSTANTIVE REQUIREMENTS

The following position is particularly suitable for a scientist with solid methodological training in content analysis and political discourse analysis in the field of political science, European studies or sociology, possessing in particular:

• • Good knowledge (ideally documented by publications) of the institutional system, decision-making processes, and political dynamics of the EU (experience in political parties, political representation, political discourse, or democratic legitimacy is an asset);
• • Ability to acquire, collect and select data for content and discourse analysis;
• • Proven knowledge of qualitative methods such as content analysis and discourse analysis, including knowledge of coding and using dedicated data analysis software (e.g., ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, NVivo);
• • Knowledge of quantitative methods and techniques in the field of basic and intermediate statistical methods (e.g., regression analysis, descriptive analysis), including experience using statistical software such as R, Stata, SPSS, or Python;
• • Excellent command of written and spoken English (knowledge of Polish is not required);
• • Previous international scientific publications and conference experience;
• • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international research environment.

Specific Requirements

• • Experience conducting and transcribing qualitative interviews;
• • Familiarity with large media databases (e.g., Factiva or LexisNexis)
• • Familiarity with various data collection techniques (e.g. web scraping)
