Call for applications for Postdoctoral fellowships 

The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) invites applications for:

Postdoctoral fellowships:

• • Postdoctoral fellowships with no specific themes 2-year-financed (DKK 1.2 million each)
• • Postdoctoral fellowships in Classical Endocrinology *thematic, 2-year-financed (DKK 1.2 million each)
• • Industrial Postdoctoral Fellowships 2-year 50%-financed (DKK 600,000)

Applications can be in any research field within diabetes, metabolism or endocrinology.  

Deadline for application is 18 August 2026 at 23:59 CET with expected date of reply 26 November 2026.

Important: 

Please note the following:

• • You can apply for only one postdoctoral fellowship per application round across the various DDEA postdoctoral fellowship calls. We reserve the right to reject your application if you do not follow this rule. 
• • Principal supervisors/investigators (PI) can host only one 2/3 DDEA-funded PhD scholar or one two-year DDEA-funded postdoctoral fellow at a time. This clause applies to active grants that have not been completed by the time the DDEA Board of Directors makes its decision on 18 Novemeber 2026. Therefore, applicants must have clarified this with the PI related to their project before applying.In addition to one 2/3 financed PhD scholar or one two-year postdoctoral fellow, PIs may also host the following types of DDEA-funded grants: Clinical postdoctoral fellowships granted in 2023Visiting researcher grants50%- or 1/3-funded Industrial PhD Scholarships50%-funded two year Industrial Postdoctoral Fellowships50%-funded two year Strategic Partnership Postdoctoral Fellowships
• • PIs hosting a DDA-funded PhD student or postdoctoral fellow (with a grant from 2018-2022) are eligible to be involved in an application for a DDEA PhD scholarship or postdoctoral fellowship.

Affiliation to a Danish research institution or a life-science company in Denmark is a prerequisite.
