The Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Warsaw - a leading center of chemical sciences in Poland, recognized in Europe and worldwide, announces a competition for the assistant professor position in a group of science positions in project entitled "Interfacial engineering of liquid metals - InterGaIn" financed by the National Science Foundation. Project leader: dr Piotr Mocny.

People of all genders are invited to participate.

• • With a PhD degree in chemistry or related sciences (required in the first day of work at the latest), acquired maximum 12 years prior the application date
• • good knowledge of English (at least B2 level)
• • experience in materials science; synthesis of polymers (RAFT polymerization, ATRP), modification of surfaces or nanoparticles
• • familiarized with analysis of polymers (GPC, NMR, FTIR)
• • familiarized with analysis surfaces and nanoparticles (XPS, DLS, SEM, TEM)
• • team working skills
• • the candidate must meet the requirements of art. 113 of the Act - Law on Higher Education and Science dated July 20, 2018 (Polish Journal of Laws of 2024, no. 1571).

Nice to have:

• • experience in mechanical analysis of materials (tensile tests, rheology)
• • experience with building devices, such as sensors or actuators
• • experience gained at research institutions abroad
