We are seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for the 2026 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Dundee.

We welcome candidates with backgrounds in:

• • Offshore structural analysis and design
• • Geotechnical engineering for offshore applications (e.g., anchoring and foundation systems)
• • Materials science related to offshore structures

Potential research topics include, but are not limited to:

• • Design and application of high-performance connection components in offshore structures
• • Use of high-performance materials in offshore structures
• • Innovative anchoring and foundation technologies for offshore renewable energy platforms

Successful applicants will join an interdisciplinary team led by Professor Michael Brown, with a strong track record of successful MSCA projects (including successful MSCA awarded in the 2025 round). Our research cluster offers an excellent environment for collaborative and impactful research, with strong links to industry and international partners.

Requirements:

• • PhD in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, materials science, or a closely related field
• • Demonstrated research experience in one or more relevant areas
• • Strong motivation for interdisciplinary and international collaboration
