Job Summary/offer: The Unit Microbiology of the Centre of Pathobiology at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna conducts research at the interface between animal and human health. Current research projects focus on the understanding of pathometabolism and persistence mechanisms of toxigenic bacteria. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and driven researcher to join our lab and work with us to understand the mechanisms of pathogenicity in toxigenic bacteria. The ideal candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Data Sciences with a biological focus or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated experience in microbiology and molecular biology. Experience in omics technologies is an asset.

PhD in Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Data Science with a biological focus, or a closely related discipline. Proven research experience in microbiology and/or molecular biology. Demonstrated proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., R, Python) and/or commonly used bioinformatics tools and databases. Academic achievements commensurate with career stage. Excellent command of English (C1) and good working knowledge of German (B2).
