The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa announces a competition for the position of Assistant Professor (research and teaching staff), full-time, under an employment contract, at the Institute of History, in the field of Humanities, discipline: History, with a specialization in Contemporary History.
 

Applicants must meet the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Polish Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science.

The successful candidate must hold at least a doctoral degree (PhD) in History and demonstrate research achievements contributing to the development of the discipline, including:
• a significant publication record in History, including articles in international or national academic journals;
• experience applying, as principal investigator, for externally funded research or artistic projects;
• organizational achievements, including co-organizing conferences or scholarly events;
• experience in international academic cooperation;
• positive teaching evaluation or documented teaching competence relevant to higher education.

 

Additional requirements:
• PhD in History;
• research achievements in the discipline;
• competence to teach Contemporary History;
• strong commitment to teaching, organizational and outreach activities;
• excellent command of English and Spanish;
• research on the history and culture of Spanish-speaking countries in the 19th–20th centuries is welcome;
• full availability.

In justified cases, the Rector may reduce the formal requirements, taking into account qualifications important for the University's research policy.
