Vice-Rector in charge of the School of Humanities at the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, announces a competition for the position of Assistant Professor (adiunkt) in the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology (Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies).

1. 1. Application form/letter of the candidate addressed to the Vice-Rector announcing the competition;
2. 2. Curriculum Vitae; 
3. 3. Diplomas or certificates issued by colleges and universities attesting to education and degrees or titles held (in case of academic degrees obtained abroad - the documents must meet the equivalence criteria set out in Article 328 of the Act of 20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742 Polish:  Dziennik Ustaw 2024 poz. 1571 t.j.); 
4. 4. Information on the Applicant’s research, teaching and organizational achievements,
5. 5. Other documents as determined by the competition committee.
6. 6. Consent to the processing of personal data as follows: In accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016. The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571,  Article 113 as amended) and who meet the following requirements:

1.A PhD degree in the humanities, specifically in ethnology or cultural and/or social anthropology. Candidates with a PhD degree in cultural studies or sociology are also eligible, provided they have completed ethnological or anthropological studies at the M.A. level or their supervisor is a specialist in ethnology and or sociocultural anthropology

2.Experience in conducting ethnographic fieldwork

3.Teaching experience at the university level

4.Scientific achievements documented by publications – proportional to the stage of research career

5.Documented engagement in research community life, e.g., conference papers, international internship – proportional to the stage in research career

6.One exemplary publication (not exceeding forty thousand signs, spaces included)

7.A letter of recommendation from two established scholars familiar with the research of the candidate

8.Note: Selection is based on the represented quality of scientific output. There is no regional or thematic preference
