CALL FOR APPLICATIONS NO. 331.10 RIC IRSA – Selection for one staff member with the professional profile of Researcher (Level III) at the Water Research Institute (IRSA) – Bari branch, to carry out the following scientific or technological research activity: “Mathematical and computational optimization for the management of complex socio-environmental systems and decision support.”

Master's Degree (Laurea Magistrale) in Mathematics (LM-40) or in Mathematical-Physical Modeling for Engineering (LM-44); or a Specialist Degree (Laurea Specialistica) in Mathematics (45/S) or in Mathematical-Physical Modeling for Engineering (50/S); or a university degree under the pre-reform system (*vecchio ordinamento*) deemed equivalent to the aforementioned degree classes pursuant to the Interministerial Decree of July 9, 2009, and subsequent amendments. Qualifications declared equivalent under current regulations will also be accepted. - At least three years of experience at a research institution or university conducting research on mathematical optimization methods, complex system management, and decision support; or possession of a PhD relevant to the required experience. - Knowledge of advanced languages ​​and tools for optimization and data analysis (e.g., Python, Matlab, R). - Knowledge of English and basic IT skills (to be assessed during the interview); knowledge of Italian for candidates who are not Italian citizens (to be assessed during the interview).
