The Institute of Measurement of the Slovak Academy of Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral researcher or an experienced researcher to join the Department of Theoretical Methods.

We welcome candidates with expertise in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, biomedical engineering, or related fields, whose interests fit the department’s theoretical and methodological research profile.

Applicants may join one of the existing teams or pursue their own research project or vision relevant to the department’s profile.

The department develops mathematical, statistical, and computational methods for the analysis of complex systems, signals, measurement data, and biomedical data. Current research topics include:

• • causal analysis in time series
• • complex systems and networks, chaos, and fractal-based methods,
• • EEG analysis, computational neuroscience, and brain-computer interfaces,
• • machine learning and deep learning,
• • statistical modelling, regression methods, and uncertainty quantification,
• • calibration, interlaboratory comparisons, and theoretical statistical methods for biomedical and technical applications.
