Offer description The position focuses on experimental research in quantum materials, superconductivity and strongly correlated systems. Main tasks include material synthesis and characterization, low-temperature scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy, data analysis, scientific instrumentation, collaborative research, publications and FAIR-compliant open-data management.

Research profile with a PhD in Physics, Condensed Matter Physics or a related field, and proven experience in condensed matter physics, quantum materials and strongly correlated electronic systems. The candidate should have expertise in the synthesis, growth and advanced characterization of single crystals and functional materials, including low-temperature experimental techniques, cryogenic systems and magnetic, electrical, thermal and structural measurements. Strong skills in scientific data analysis and programming, together with experience in superconductivity, magnetism, electronic nematicity or emerging quantum materials, are expected. Participation in international research projects, high-impact publications, conference contributions and research stays or collaborations at leading institutions will be highly valued.

Applicants should hold a PhD in Physics, Condensed Matter Physics or a closely related area, and have a solid background in experimental research on quantum materials, superconductivity, magnetism or strongly correlated electron systems.
