Brief Description of the Institution

Universidad de Burgos (UBU) is a medium-sized Spanish university located in Burgos, Castilla y León (Spain). Founded in 1994 UBU is a young university; with over 7,000 students at 7 centres.

UBU has a remarkable background in EU-funded projects. Currently, UBU participates in 46on-going projects (in 17 of them as coordinator- 11 MSCAs) in different programmes (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, Digital Europe, LIFE, JUSTICE, EU Fraud).

UBU has been awarded the seal of Excellence in Human Resources excellence for Research that accredits Universidad of Burgos as an entity committed to quality in the management of human resources in research.

UBU has 96 research groups classified in five main research fields (Sciences, Social sciences, Engineering-Construction, Humanities & Health sciences) with consolidated prestige in research & scientific publications. Grant call details:

Grants programme to encourage the incorporation of research consolidated talent "ATRAE Programme".

"ATRAE Programme" aims at facilitating the incorporation (to Spanish Public Universities) of consolidated research talent, with recognized international prestige and who have recently developed a relevant period of their professional activity abroad. Grants are funded through an open and competitive process.

In this context, Universidad de Burgos is looking for doctors in medicine or mathematics who want to apply for the ATRAE call with our university.

Some remarks:

Estimated date of publication of the call: May 2025.

Grant amount: €1,000,000 per action, including indirect costs (25% of the costs of carrying out the research project and the costs of establishing and/or improving facilities and equipment).

Project duration: 3 or 4 years.

Minimum salary: 80,000 euros gross per year.

Who can apply?

* Should be in possession of a doctoral degree. The applicants must have their PhD completed before January 1st, 2018.

And

* Researchers of any nationality, having been professionally linked to foreign research organizations for at least 5 years in the last 7 years.
