You will be working on the ANR UPDATE PERRIURB project, which focuses on the automobile dependence of households in rural and peri-urban areas. This topic was the subject of a great deal of work in the field of Transportation Studies in the years 1990-2000, but has since been less investigated, despite the fact that it is in these areas that the transition to more sustainable mobility seems to be the most difficult to implement. This research program is based on a multi-disciplinary (anthropologists, geographers, planners, economists) and comparative approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Definition of research activities and tasks to be accomplished:

The person recruited will be responsible for :

- Carrying out the qualitative survey phases by interviewing institutional players (elected representatives and technicians from local authorities, urban planning agencies, etc.), economic players (CCI, companies, etc.) and associations (WP2), as well as households (WP3). This mission includes participating in the construction of the interview grids and the reflection on the ethical framework of the survey, identifying and making appointments with the people to be surveyed, conducting and analyzing the interviews, and interpreting the results.

- Participation in the valorization of the program's results (WP5), both within the academic context and for a wider audience.

- Support in coordinating and leading WP3 is expected.

Travel will be required to carry out field surveys (expenses paid) in Maine-et-Loire (and occasionally in Puy-deDôme).
