- work environment: This is molecular and multi-scale modelling work carried out in the Mesoscopic Modelling and Theoretical Chemistry laboratory, part of the Institut de Chimie Séparative de Marcoule, a joint CEA/CNRS/ENSCM/University of Montpellier unit.


- main mission: The aim is to carry out mainly molecular simulations of complex solutions in order to study their properties for metal recycling. This work will be carried out in collaboration with experimentalists who will be conducting parallel studies on the same system.


- activities: First of all, the system will defined, particularly with regard to the interaction potentials. Direct simulation will then be used to calculate the equilibrium properties, structure and complexation associated with the system. The model can then be validated or improved by comparison with experiments. Secondly, we will study the transport properties, and in particular the viscosity, which will be studied in conjunction with microfluidic experiments. A mesoscopic interface model will be obtained.
