RECTOR of the Jagiellonian University announces a selection procedure for the position of an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - job advertisement no 246.2025


Project title: Opus 21, "Size matters: How a blastocyst's size affects offspring health" PSP: K/PBO/000896

The research group is located at the Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology, Krakow.

The project will verify how the donor embryo affects the pregnancy of the recipient mouse. Both embryonic and maternal organs will be studied to determine the impact of the embryo transfer procedure itself and the pregnancy following transfer of a foreign (non-self) embryo. The project aims to verify possible immunological disorders in the mother and the offspring. In addition, tissues from adult mice obtained after embryo transfer will be analysed to assess the full development and long-term health of the offspring.

Type of employment: Fixed-term employment contract

Working time: Full time

Planned duration of employment: 20 months

Expected date of employment commencement: 4 quarter 2025


The successful candidate’s daily tasks will include:
1. Inflammatory analysis of selected mouse organs.
2. Embryo analysis (qPCR).
3. Statistical analysis.
4. Task reporting.
5. Preparation of work for publication.
