Your tasks

  • Develop advanced constitutive models for chemo-mechanical coupling in clay systems and its extension to generic T-H-M-C numerical codes.

  • Support the planning of experimental programs and interpretation of results from chemo-mechanical experiments conducted at LES/PSI, LMS/EPFL and underground research laboratories (e.g., Mont Terri URL).

  • Apply developed models in geoengineering problems such as geological disposal of radioactive waste, CO2-sequestration and geo-energy.

  • Collaborate with PSI and EPFL colleagues, and partners nationally and internationally, to deliver and publish the scientific outcomes of major research initiatives.
