Applications are invited for the position of postdoctoral researcher in an ERC Starting Grant BLINDBRAIN led by Dr Łukasz Bola. The aim of the project is to understand why, in blind individuals, the visual cortex responds to linguistic stimuli such as words and sentences. We will use fMRI and TMS, combined with advanced analytical approaches (MVPA, RSA), to investigate (1) what properties of linguistic stimuli are represented in the visual cortex of blind individuals, and (2) whether representations of similar properties are, in some form, computed also in the sighted visual cortex (more information: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101164042).
