Position related to activities covered by the protection of minors.

An academic scholar employed within research-teaching staff has a range of duties comprising mainly:

• • academic research,
• • providing academic guidance and support to students or PhD candidates,
• • continuous professional development.

1)Teaching duties:

a)fulfilling teaching obligations at the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs (1st and 2nd cycle studies) conducted by the Faculty of Artes Liberales, University of Warsaw, teaching at  Doctoral Schools,  and undertaking other organizational projects related to teaching in accordance with the required annual teaching load: in particular teaching literary studies and art studies, including courses and seminars focusing on 20th- century Polish literature and its ties with audiovisual arts (film, comics and cartoons, etc.),

b)holding office hours (two hours per week) devoted to providing students and PhD-candidates with academic counseling,

c)continuous professional development - expanding knowledge and skills to improve teaching practice; involvement in supervising students and providing them with academic guidance.

2)Research duties:

a)conducting independent research in the field of literary studies,

b)presenting research results at international conferences and seminars both in Poland and abroad,

c)regularly publishing research papers in high quality journals (most welcomed are journals and publications scored by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education),

d)academic networking: actively participating in research projects at the University of Warsaw and engaging with the wider academic community both in Poland and abroad,

e)attracting external funds for research projects.

3)Administrative duties:

a)taking on and responsibly fulfilling scholarly roles and responsibilities within the Faculty of Artes Liberales and the University of Warsaw,

b)participating in organizational activities at the Faculty of Artes Liberales and the University of Warsaw, contributing to current research and teaching projects.
