Work environment : The OECS team studies collective quantum states formed by nuclear and electronic spins, indirect excitons, and polaritons, using two dedicated experimental setups: one for visible-range magneto-optics and another one for UV micro-photoluminescence. Our fundamental research aims to understand the optical and spin properties that govern the physics of these quantum systems. The team has 8 permanent members, including a research engineer who provides direct technical support for the implementation of assigned experimental tasks.

Main mission : Following the acquisition of a closed-circuit cryostat, the team must set up two complementary measurement benches around this new equipment. As these two systems must coexist around the same cryogenic environment, mechanical, optical and software adjustments will be necessary. The candidate will actively participate in the design and setting up of these installations, as well as to the design of the new acquisition programs based on PyModAq.

Activities :

• Modify the spin noise spectroscopy setup to integrate it into the new cryogenic environment.
• Duplicate and optimize the UV micro-photoluminescence setup.
• Perform optical and cryogenic tests.
