Strong research profile interpreting data obtained from omics analyses (integrative omics: transcriptomics, metagenomics, metabolomics and/or proteomics) especially in the field of obesity and metabolic comorbidities (e.g. fatty liver, insulin resistance, cardiovascular diseases)


Nutrition and Health Expertise: A good understanding of nutrition and its impact on health is crucial to applying omics data in the context of personalized nutrition.


Bioinformatics/Bioestatistics Expertise: The ability to handle large omics data sets and perform bioinformatics/bioestatistics analyses is essential. This includes the use of specialized software for preprocessing, statistical analysis and visualization of omics data. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R or MATLAB would be advantageous.


Analytical Thinking: The ability to think critically and analytically is required when addressing complex problems and interpreting biologically the results of omics analyses.
