Postdoctoral Position in the Research Project PetrIUS: Petrification of ius commune through printed paratexts. Full-time position, 6 months’ probation period, 45 months in total.

The responsibilities of this position will include in general:

• Researching the printed paratexts in the corpus iuris civilis.
• Collecting and analyzing literature dedicated to printed paratexts.
• Contributing to the preparation of scholarly articles.
• Presenting research findings at conferences and academic seminars.
• Organizing seminars focused on the themes of the project.
• Cooperation within a research team (required work performance at the place of employment).

In particular, the postdoc will implement WP1 and WP5 in collaboration with the principal investigator:
WP1 Classification of types and functions of paratexts added to printed corpora iuris.
WP5 Petrification of late medieval ius commune taking the form of printed paratexts in corpora iuris.

Monthly salary:

• ca 7 600 PLN before taxation/monthly of basic salary + ca 5 017 PLN before taxation/monthly supplementary (project) remuneration: an average of 12 617 PLN before taxation/monthly remuneration in total – for team member (defending a doctoral thesis up to 5 years before the current recruitment);
• ca 7 600 PLN before taxation/monthly of basic salary + ca 6 450 PLN before taxation/monthly supplementary (project) remuneration: an average of 14 050PLN before taxation/monthly remuneration in total – for an experienced team member (defending a doctoral thesis above 5 years before the current recruitment).
