The University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna invites applications for a full-time position in Equine Surgery at a lecturer or senior lecturer level. The successful candidate will be joining a team of 4 ACVS/ECVS, 4 ECEIM and 3 ACVSMR diplomates to provide high-quality teaching, patient care and research.


The University equine hospital provides an established referral service to a diverse caseload of more than 3000 patients annually. Clinical facilities include state-of-the-art surgical facilities (2 surgical suites and a standing operating theatre) fully equipped for osteosynthesis and high-definition arthroscopy and laparoscopy. In addition, advanced diagnostic equipment including CT, MRI, nuclear scintigraphy, fluoroscopy, high-speed treadmill and overground endoscopy is available.
